Bijou Holiday Cottage.
Bijou Definition; small and elegant “a bijou residence”.
The cottage, which dates back to the mid 1700s, is nestled in the picturesque village of Lowick, in the heart of Northamptonshire. It has recently undergone a sympathetic and extensive refurbishment, including a new kitchen and shower room, and is now ready to welcome guests.
Bijou’s unique position and size creates a cosy, relaxing feel, comprising a fully integrated kitchen with dining area, sitting room, double bedroom and a shower room. Outside there is ample ‘off lane’ parking and its own garden to complete the space available for guests.
Surrounded by open countryside, Lowick is a quiet and unspoiled village with many historical buildings including St. Peters Church. Of early medieval origin and partly rebuilt in the 15th century, the church is famous for its perpendicular architecture and boasts a unique octagonal lantern tower.
Locally there are many walks, trails and byways to traverse with many magnificent buildings to look at, such as Drayton House, Boughton House, Lyveden New Bield, Kirby Hall, Titchmarsh Nature Reserve and many more.
